Thought I'd put in a good word about one of my fave radio progs. 'Whispering' Bob Harris's Thursday night country and western show on Radio 2. Just spent a pleasant hour ear'oling it. Marvellous stuff as usual. Apparently there's a new Rodney Crowell album out soon called 'Sex and Gasoline' and the one track Bob played sounded great. So that's on my list. Also, heard a great track from the new 'Bulletproof' album by Reckless Kelly. Another great combo from Austin Texas and another one for my list. If you've never listened to Bob's Thursday night show, give it a go next week. Starts at 7pm. And if you think you don't like country, you may be pleasantly surprised. It's not all Dolly Parton and John Denver y'know (no offence Dolly, love ya really).

Never heard of Reckless Kelly? Well, nor had I 'til tonight. Anyway, try this. It's their version of Richard Thompson's '1952 Vincent Black Lightning'. If it doesn't get your foot tapping, it must be nailed to the floor.

And here's the original by that fine ol' geetar pickin' troubadour hisself...
